Frequently Asked Questions
When can I start the ABSN program?
The ABSN program has three start dates a year: January, May, and September. Visit our admission process page to learn more about applying to the program.
Do I need to complete prerequisite courses to apply?
All applicants must complete our prerequisite course requirements to be considered for admission. These courses ensure that students enter the program with a solid foundation in science and general education.
Learn more about our prerequisite course requirements by visiting our ABSN prerequisites page.
Can I transfer to the ABSN program without a bachelor’s degree?
No, the ABSN program is a second-degree program and requires students to hold a non-nursing bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution to be eligible. Because the program condenses what would be the last two years of a traditional BS in nursing program into 16 months, students must already have a well-rounded education earned through a degree.
